Exercise above 65 to 70% VO2 max, carbs is the prefered fuel.
Duringvey mild exercise, at about 25% VO2 max,
fat provides about 80% of the total fuel.
Adipose tissue is the major source of tat at this low intensity.
As exercise increases towards 65% VO2max, more of the fat used is
uspplied by muscle triglycerides.
